Senior Frontend Engineer @ Upwork (🇺🇸 - Remote)

Contributor / Team Member

Working directly for UPWORK, maintaining the product that connects freelancers with clients. Allocated to the payments team, focusing on frontend, adoption and migration to modern frameworks, Core Web Vitals optimization, improvements and new features.

I work on the platform evolving and maintaining applications (microfrontends) across various technologies, including Nuxt, Vue, PHP, and proprietary frameworks.

Full-stack Developer @ RLDatix - PolicyMedical (🍁 - Remote)

Contributor / Team Member

Worked as a Full-Stack Developer in an agile team of 5, managing a traditional application built with Grails, GSP and MySQL. Responsibilities spanned the entire lifecycle of the Policy Manager system, from debugging to developing complex features.

Worked on an important module restructuring the FE. Took the initiative to propose a modern approach, created a POC and added VUE to the existing architecture.

Tech Leader & Senior Frontend Developer @ Instituto Nacional de Telecomunicações (🇧🇷 - onsite)

Acted as Tech Leader & Senior Frontend for one of Ericsson's solutions, focusing on Frontend (Angular) and ensuring code quality through automated tests (Jasmine and Protractor). Hybrid role balancing team leadership (Team Lead/Scrum Master) with hands-on technical work, dedicating most of the time to programming and pair programming whenever needed.

Technical leadership required discussions with Canadian POs to gather requirements and align expectations.

Worked implementing and maintaining systems for the Angolan government (PGCO — road mapping and SCLU — garbage collection). In the first, led a small team of 3 using Laravel as the PHP framework; also worked closely with PMOs to gather requirements from interested companies. In the second project, used JSF and participated in accelerating development with new features, structure modeling and requirements support.

Beyond leading the team, I had to interact with local stakeholders (Angolan government). I presented one project directly to Angola's Minister of Public Works.

Maintained a critical system for Ericsson, designed to fetch and analyze data from a distributed server infrastructure. The workflow allowed technicians to request specific data points, which the system retrieved and processed into a readable format for analysis.

One of the improvements we made was reducing a job from 12–15 minutes to under 2 minutes. We fetched data (10GB+) from servers and ran a Java parser. We switched the approach to use AWK scripts, and then with a smaller file, used Java to read and populate the database.

Worked on the architecture of the Reserva Tamandaré real-estate system. Implemented complex flows with Nuxt 3, Fastify and Clicksign API integration for digital signatures.

Pitch: The client wanted to expand the company's real-estate business and needed an online sales system with a complex sales flow using Nuxt 3, Fastify, and integration with Pagar.me and Clicksign for digital signatures. The challenge was creating a scalable and efficient solution that could handle business growth.

Developed *more than one project* for Musashi over the years. Provided technical consulting across various activities including setting up Linux in an Azure environment for their internal projects (Java, PHP and Node) and the ones I implemented.

It's always been a pleasure working with Musashi 🙏 — they periodically reach out for my services, even within the scope of technologies that aren't exactly my expertise, like Native Android 📱

Technical Consultant & Developer @ Amparo 60 (🇧🇷 - Brasil - remote)

One of my first freelance projects was for Amparo 60, where I acted as a technical consultant and developer. The project involved creating a collection management system 🖼️ using modern technologies of the time, like VRaptor.

Pitch: The challenge was building a collection management system. Despite appearing to be simple CRUDs, there were various rules such as lending artworks to other institutions, availability control, and other business rules that made the project more complex than it seemed.
